Kaylee Andrusier

 LMSW

Kaylee Andrusier, LMSW, is a licensed master of social work with many years of practice in the mental health field. She received her Master’s Degree in social work from Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler school of social work and obtained bachelors degree in psychology from Concordia college. While receiving her BA, she was involved in community outreach work providing necessary programming for women, teenagers, and children.

When she moved on to New York to work on her masters degree, she spent her first year internship at Lower East Side Service Center’s Su Casa which is a residential opioid treatment center. At that time she provided individual and group therapy to those struggling with substance use and fostered relationships which became a catalyst for their growth and eventual rehabilitation. Kaylee went on to her second year internship at NYU Langone Medical Center’s oncology department where she assisted in complex discharge planning as well as assess psychosocial complexities for those struggling with severe medical issues with poor prognosis. Kaylee assisted both the patients and their families through the most challenging times in their life and played the role as an advocate for them with the medical team.

Once completed both internships and received licensure, Kaylee went on to work at a group private practice called Point Clarity services LLC where she maintains a caseload of clients with a range of different background and diagnosis such as depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and adjustment disorder. While maintaining this position, she went on to Kings County Hospital’s inpatient psychiatric facility where she served as a social worker on the adult inpatient unit. At that time, Kaylee provided psychosocial assessments, collaborated with the psychiatrists and unit staff to coordinate care, performs family meeting and individual therapy with patients and their identified loved ones. The population at Kings County ranges from individuals ages 18-65. These patients struggle with acute psychosis, mania, depression, suicidality, and/or homicidal ideation. Their diagnosis consisted of major depressive disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and a range of personality disorders.
